The Technique

We have seen before that the Jacquard machine ordered the
setting to lift or lower the single looms.
The threads partly lifted and lowered make up the "warp mouth",
trough which the single weft (horizontal yarn) is put.

This lifting, lowering and insertion process is continually
repeated until is reached the prearranged number of shedding
to make the tapestry or the border.
